eXistenZ (1999)

Allegra Geller's cutting edge new virtual reality game could revolutionize the industry, but something truly bizarre happens while she's testing it with a focus group. An assassin with a gun that seems to be made of living matter targets Allegra. She escapes, but the game itself is damaged. Going back in could be dangerous, as the game is fully immersive and no one is aware of how the reality within the game might have been warped by the damage to it. She recruits the help of a reluctant young man who's just an assistant marketing intern to venture into a broken reality.
