The Time Machine (2002)

Based on the novel by H.G. Wells, this movie takes you to his imagined future of humankind split into two warring factions. The story begins with a tragic moment in the inventor’s life that makes him want to create the machine that will take him back in time to change the awful event. After visiting the past and discovering that he cannot change it, he decides to visit the future. When he tests the time machine, he is hurtled 800,000 years into the future where he is caught between the two warring species. One is hunted and the other is the hunters.
