V for Vendetta (2006)

Great Britain is under fascist totalitarian rule by the Norsefire Party and dictator Chancellor Adam. Average citizen Evey Hammond, who works for the state-run television network, gets in a life-threatening situation and is rescued by a mysterious man in a Guy Fawkes mask. This man, who calls himself V, gets her involved in a plot to take down Chancellor Adam and the Norsefire Party. However, Hammond soon finds out that she is the No. 1 enemy of the state and must go into hiding at V's underground lair for her safety for a year. While hiding, she learns the truth about herself and V's mysterious past.
