WarGames (1983)

Teenage David is a computer geek who has a skill for hacking, a dubious talent he uses to procure gaming software before its release. David successfully hacks into a computer and acquires several simulation games, including "Global Thermonuclear War." David doesn't realize he tapped into a U.S. military computer that doesn't recognize it is part of a game. World War III may soon start, and nuclear missile launches appear unavoidable.
