Eraserhead (1977)

This surrealist story of Henry Spencer is a view into a world of nightmarish industrialization. Henry's monotonous job as a factory worker is on brief pause while he goes on vacation, but his attempts to relax are stopped in their tracks on the discovery that he's a father. The strange bird-like creature never seems happy and won't stop screaming — and Henry's girlfriend and the mother of this deformed creature is in a deep state of depression. As the dreams become more and more bizarre, Henry has to ask himself if fatherhood is really something that he even wants a part of.
