In the shadow of her father's death, renowned psychiatrist and radio personality, Dr. Sonny Blake, finds herself drawn back to her childhood home on Rosewood Lane in the sleepy town of Stillwater. Haunted by a history of abuse at her father's hands, Sonny, under the therapeutic guidance of Dr. Cloey, embarks on a journey to confront her past, supported by her caring boyfriend, DA Barrett Tanner. Stepping back into the old neighborhood, Sonny's tranquil return is disrupted by a chilling warning from her next-door neighbor about the local paperboy, a strange, unsettling figure. When signs of a break-in at her new home point to this enigmatic boy, Sonny suspects that he may be responsible for her father’s untimely demise. Yet, Detectives Briggs and Sabatino dismiss her fears as mere flights of fancy, products of a traumatized mind. As the plot thickens, Tanner falls under attack and mysteriously disappears, leaving Sonny and her friend Paula Crenshaw in a desperate race against time. Contacting the police proves futile, with no trace of Tanner to be found. Amidst this chaos, a question arises: Is Sonny spiraling into the depths of her own paranoia, or is the paperboy truly a malevolent entity preying on Rosewood Lane?
