Die Hard (1988)

John McClane is taken by surprise when his plan to reconcile with his estranged wife is foiled by a group of German terrorists who take over her office building during a Christmas party. The LAPD doesn’t seem willing to help him, so John decides to take matters into his own hands. Determined to save all the hostages, John single-handedly takes over the situation, doing everything he can to triumph over the terrorists.
