Psycho (1960)

A secretary working for a small business in Phoenix embezzles $40,000 from the client of her boss. She decides this is the time to break free from her boring life and go on the run. While driving out of town, she gets caught in a bad rainstorm. She pulls off the highway and finds an out-of-the-way, slightly run-down motel operated by Norman Bates. Bates is controlled by his mother, and things take a turn for the worse for the secretary.
