Plot

The 1927 classic Metropolis is considered among the greatest movies of the 19th Century. Set in the distant future, an ultramodern city run by a dazzling array of electronic marvels provides a utopian lifestyle for the rich. However, beneath the city are masses of people who work like slaves to keep the wheels of Metropolis above humming along. When the son of the Master of Metropolis accidentally meets and falls in love with a beautiful woman who is one of the lowly under-city working class, he gets pulled into a class revolt pitting the wealthy elite against the oppressed poor.
