Plot
During the Vietnam War, U.S. Army Captain Willard is given a mission to assassinate a Green Beret, Colonel Kurtz, who they believe has gone insane, setting up his own civilization in the jungle and running illegal operations across the border. Willard travels upriver on a Navy Boat with several other men, a violent and surreal experience, finally arriving at Kurtz's final bizarre outpost where he comes face to face with Kurtz and confronts the heart of darkness.
