In the heart of Goa, we meet Joseph Braganza and his wife Flavy, a profoundly devout Catholic couple bound by an uncommon silence - they are both deaf and mute. Joseph ekes out a living peddling soap bars door-to-door, while they communicate with the world through their beacon of hope - their daughter Annie, who is blessed with the gift of sound. Annie, a vibrant ray of light in their muted world, soon becomes an older sister when Flavy gives birth to a son, Sam.
Tragedy strikes when Sam's life is abruptly extinguished, casting a long shadow on the family's existence. Joseph's faith wavers and crumbles, forcing him to seek solace in transforming his life path. He trades soap bars for the whimsy of toys, opening a toy-making factory that breathes new prosperity into their lives.
Annie blossoms into a woman, her life rhythmically intertwined with the music she passionately adores. This love for music is rivalled only by her affection for Raj, a young man who captures her heart. However, Raj's presence is met with resistance by Joseph. His objections are rooted in Raj's Hindu faith, his ability to hear and speak, his non-Goan origin, and, most importantly, the looming threat of losing his precious connection to the world - Annie.
When Annie's relationship with Raj takes a significant turn as she becomes pregnant, the family is thrust into turmoil. Joseph, unable to accept this development, demands Annie to abort the child and when she refuses, he banishes her from their home.
The plot unravels from this point, posing poignant questions - What path will Annie choose in the face of such adversity? Will the bonds of familial love prove strong enough to reunite Joseph, Flavy and Annie against all odds?
