Plot

In the heart of the night, a chilling game of cat and mouse ensues between a remorseless killer and a resilient young woman, Kyeong-mi, who lives in silence due to her hearing impairment. Her life, ordinarily filled with the humdrum of a customer call center and caring for her mother, takes a sinister turn when she forsakes a distasteful client dinner and heads home. As the night deepens, the predator, Do-sik, prowls, initially drawn to the vulnerable figure of Kyeong-mi's waiting mother. However, his attention swiftly veers to another unsuspecting prey, So-jung, engrossed in her phone conversation. In the eerie back alley, So-jung falls victim to Do-sik's ruthless act, and her plight unfurls before Kyeong-mi, setting her on a collision course with the psychopath. Now, Kyeong-mi must navigate this treacherous labyrinth, trapped in the crosshairs of Do-sik's ruthless game, her silence amplifying the tension of the deadly nightfall in "Midnight" (2021).
