Orphan (2009)

Kate and John are trying to repair their marriage amid the loss of a child, Kate's alcoholism and John's infidelity. They decide to adopt, and they fall in love with a little girl named Esther that they meet at an orphanage. Their son does not warm up to Esther, but their daughter, who cannot hear or speak, bonds with her instantly. However, it slowly becomes apparent to Kate and the children that something is terribly wrong with Esther, and Kate fights to uncover her evil secret before she destroys the family.

Orphan is a horror movie featuring Vera Farmiga and directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.
