Milton C. Hardcastle, a stern yet just judge in Los Angeles County, has spent his career battling the law's loopholes. Over time, he's been forced to let nearly 200 guilty individuals slip through his fingers, their freedom secured by legal technicalities. Now in retirement, Hardcastle is determined to rectify past wrongs, relentlessly pursuing these individuals to ensure justice is ultimately served. However, he's not going it alone. Enter Mark McCormick, an audacious car thief turned aspiring race car driver with a knack for skirting the law.
