Dr. Luna Gilson, a widowed general surgeon at Seattle West Hospital, struggles to find equilibrium between her demanding career and her role as a single mother to eight-year-old Andy. Despite her profession, Luna yearns for a deeper connection with her patients that transcends their medical recuperation. Simultaneously, she is pained by her increasing distance from Andy, whose life's special moments she misses due to her taxing work schedule. A potential promotion to senior consultant of general surgery presents itself, but Luna is unsure if the esteemed position is worth the sacrifice of her personal life. Guided by her mother's advice, Luna decides to step away from her bustling life and reconnect with her son during a vacation at their family's pear farm in Pineville, a rustic haven situated two hours away from Seattle. The departure of Farley Thompson, the Gilsons' trusted farmhand, has led to the hiring of Will Nash, a biologist with a farming background. Will, who has been silently nurturing a new hybrid pear, assumes the role of farm manager. Luna and Andy, unfamiliar with the countryside since their last visit during Andy's toddlerhood, initially find the change challenging. Gradually, the serene beauty of Pineville and the simplicity of farm life begin to weave their magic. Luna and Andy discover a newfound comfort in this rustic setting and in the company of Will. As Luna contemplates her future, she finds herself torn between her career in Seattle and the charming allure of Pineville and the enigmatic Will. Meanwhile, Luna's parents contemplate selling the farm, information Luna is unaware of. Will, who has been guarding secrets of his own, finds himself falling for Luna, but is uncertain whether she fits into his meticulously planned future. As Luna learns more about her heritage and the importance of the farm, she must make decisions about her future that could drastically alter her life's trajectory.
