Tremors 3: Back to Perfection (2001)

In the third installment of the Tremors series, we return to the dusty, sun-soaked Nevada town of Perfection. Burt Gummer, a seasoned adventurer and resident Graboid hunter, is back from a successful Shrieker extermination mission in Argentina. Yet, upon his return, he finds his tranquil hometown transformed into a garish tourist attraction, complete with Graboid thrill-rides and comic books, much to his dismay. The once sleepy town of Perfection now thrives on its reputation from the epic Graboid battle that occurred 11 years prior. Among the familiar faces, Nancy Sterngood and her daughter Mindy continue to call Perfection home, while Burt's longtime friend Miguel remains a steadfast local. Adding to the town's new dynamic, the irritating Melvin Plug has transitioned to real estate, ambitiously planning to build homes in the Graboid-infested territory. Burt's fortified abode stands out as a symbol of his unyielding readiness, a fortress impervious to Graboid and Shrieker attacks. Despite the absence of these deadly creatures since the decade-old battle, Burt's vigilance hasn't waned. However, the reappearance of Graboids and Shriekers brings not only fear, but also an unexpected complication. Government officials arrive to shield the perilous creatures, now classified as endangered species. The situation spirals further out of control when the Shriekers metamorphose into an unprecedented airborne menace, aptly named Ass Blasters by Jodi Chang, the niece of the late Walter Chang and local store proprietor. With the ability to sense body warmth much like their predecessors and each harboring a Graboid egg, these flying threats add a new layer of danger to an already precarious situation. As Burt dusts off his vast arsenal, he finds unexpected allies in Jack Sawyer, a thrill-seeker capitalizing on the town's monstrous past, and Jodi. Together, they face the daunting task of battling these airborne terrors. With every step under scrutiny in their fight for survival, Burt, Jack, and Jodi must navigate their way through this new storm of terror, hoping to save their town from the clutches of these evolving monsters.
