Children of the Corn (1984)

Burt and Vicky, driving across the country, are somewhere in the Midwest when a child runs out from the cornfield and they hit him. Heading into town to find help, they come to the small town of Gatlin, but it appears to be deserted. However, the more time they spend there, the more it seems that something is wrong. The prices and dates on the calendar at an abandoned diner are out of date, but the church still seems to be in use. Burt insists on exploring more, putting them in danger as they discover the town's terrible secret.
