In the grim aftermath of the Spanish Civil War, Manuel Cortes found himself trapped within his homeland's boundaries, unable to escape the victorious forces. As he stealthily slipped back into the cloak of darkness towards his home, he was met with a chilling revelation from his wife, Juliana - the new regime was ruthlessly executing their fellow countrymen. Cornered by fear and the desperate need to survive, Manuel and Juliana hatched a plan to carve out a clandestine refuge within their own walls. But little did Manuel know that this modest sanctuary would morph into a personal prison for an unimaginable three decades. 30 Years of Darkness chronicles the harrowing tale of these "post-war moles," individuals compelled to put their existence on pause, hiding in the shadows of their own homes to evade the iron fist of the civil war victors.
