In the world of academia, Gabriel is an exhausted university professor, while his brother Elias is a man consumed by frivolous knowledge and the pursuit of women. Their lives take a startling turn when, amidst an otherwise mundane lecture, Gabriel receives a phone call announcing their father's death. The brothers' world is further upended when a posthumous video message from their father reveals a shocking truth: he was not their biological parent. With this revelation, Gabriel and Elias embark on a journey to the remote island of Ork, the home of their biological father. However, their reunion with their newfound kin is far from idyllic. Stranded amidst the intriguing marshlands of Ork, the brothers find themselves in the company of their eccentric relatives and the island's enigmatic mayor and his daughter, Ellen - a neurotic woman who loathes everything about her life. In this surreal tableau, Gabriel and Elias confront unsettling truths about their identity and lineage - truths that, while simultaneously confining them, also liberate them. As they navigate through this peculiar web of familial connections and self-discovery, they encounter a world far removed from their former lives, filled with extraordinary individuals and the hauntingly beautiful landscape of Ork.
