American Psycho (2000)

Patrick Bateman is the prototypical Wall Street yuppie in late 1980's New York, but he's rapidly finding that the thrill of being rich and practically above the law isn't enough for him. As a way to seemingly feel something beyond the banality and hypocrisy of his friends group, he begins to torture and kill young women in the city. But the more brazen he gets, the less people seem to notice. Because despite there being an investigator on Bateman's trail, no one seems to recognize that anything's amiss with his life. If no one steps up to stop him, the killings will only get worse.
