Plot

In the heart of San Francisco's vibrant Mission district, we meet Che Rivera (Benjamin Bratt), a rugged individual carved to survive the neighborhood's harsh realities. His strength and masculinity echo throughout the barrio, mirrored in the stunning lowrider cars he crafts with meticulous precision. As a redeemed ex-convict and a recovering alcoholic, Che's journey towards salvation is steeped in determination and resilience. His crowning glory, his son Jes, is the testament of his solitary struggle following his wife's untimely demise. However, when Che uncovers Jes's homosexuality, he faces a formidable challenge. Having spent a lifetime asserting his dominance with his brawn, he's now confronted with the task of unveiling a concealed facet of his identity. To truly triumph and evolve as a man, he must learn to embrace this newfound revelation. As Che's story unfolds, he must grapple with his values, his fatherhood, and ultimately, his humanity.
