In the Name of... (2013)

In a quaint village nestled within Poland's rural landscape, Adam, a dedicated Catholic priest, ministers to troubled teenagers grappling with behavioral issues, their anger manifesting in fights and verbal aggression. A late bloomer in his divine vocation, Adam discovers his spiritual path at 21, a sanctuary from the world and from himself. Despite the allure of Ewa, a young and attractive brunette, Adam gently rebuffs her advances, professing his commitment to another - the church. Yet his vow of celibacy masks a deeper conflict within; a struggle with his own sexuality and the forbidden yearning for men. This internal battle intensifies when he encounters Lukasz, an enigmatic and reticent youth from a humble rural family. As their paths intertwine, Adam's self-imposed restraint becomes an increasingly burdensome cross to bear, challenging his faith and self-perception in unforeseeable ways.
