Once a formidable force on the ice rink, former Toronto Maple Leaf enforcer, Eric McNally's hockey career was abruptly halted by a shoulder injury. Now a respected sportscaster, Eric guards a secret - his gay identity and long-term relationship with Sam, a sports lawyer. Living a life of quiet discretion, Eric believes his past as a hockey player and current status as a public figure don't provide room for an openly gay lifestyle. Eric and Sam's carefully balanced world is shaken when they take in Scot Latour, a vibrant, flamboyantly expressive adolescent left orphaned after the drug overdose of his mother, Julie.
