Plot

In the 1970s, Harvey Milk makes history as the first openly gay member of San Fransisco's Board of Supervisors. He recognizes the political power of the gay community. Milk becomes a target when conservative Dan White gets elected. Their political relationship sours over the debate about allowing gays to work in public schools.
