In the wake of her husband's death, Sarah relocates to a fresh city with her two daughters, Chrissy and Kilee, in search of a new beginning. Kilee, however, resents the move, viewing it as a flight from her father's memory. Her resentment deepens as she faces school bullies and constant disagreements with her sister, making her feel as though life itself has turned against her. This seemingly relentless storm of misfortune takes a thrilling turn when Kilee discovers a peculiar doll, pierced with pins, nestled in the confines of their backyard shed. Intrigued and desperate for a change in her fortunes, she begins to believe in the doll's supernatural powers.
