Con Air (1997)

Cameron Poe has been released from jail after serving a sentence for a murder he committed while defending himself and his wife from two drunks that were harassing and threatening them. He flies out of jail on a prison transport ship that is subsequently taken over by a group of convicts on board the plane. These prisoners, who were being transferred to another jail, are now seeking to escape. Poe must work with authorities to regain control of the plane back and ensure that the prisoners are returned to jail and face justice.
