Plot

In the volatile landscape of Yugoslavia, 1991, during the height of a brutal war, Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Harrison Lloyd finds himself torn between the compelling allure of his dangerous profession and the tranquil bliss of his family life. Despite the cacophony of war echoing around him, the pull of his family's love and his cherished greenhouse, tended to by his son Cesar, remains ever strong. Just as he contemplates a less stressful career, he embarks on one last assignment, a decision that spirals his life into an enigma of uncertainty. Harrison's wife, Sarah, also a respected journalist, receives the shattering news of her husband's presumed death in a building collapse. Rather than succumbing to despair, she harnesses her strength, channeling her grief into an unwavering determination to unearth the truth. Convinced that Harrison is still alive, she plunges into the chaotic world of war-torn Yugoslavia, a world far removed from the one she knows. In her relentless quest for Harrison, Sarah finds unexpected allies in fellow photojournalists Eric Kyle and Marc Stevenson. Together, they navigate the treacherous war zone, their collective resolve guiding them towards Vukovar, the nexus of the war, and what Sarah believes to be Harrison's location. "Harrison's Flowers" is a poignant tale of love's resilience amidst the ruins of war, a story of a woman's daring journey into an unfamiliar world, fueled by unwavering hope and the determination to keep both her husband's legacy and their flowers alive.
