In the aftermath of a brutal war, the Zol Empire holds a firm grip over the conquered lands and people of its rival, Aquafa, except for the untamed Fire Horse Territory. This wild frontier is haunted by feral dogs carrying the lethal Black Wolf Fever. During a frantic dog incursion into a Zol-operated mine, Van, a captive ex-soldier, and Yuna, a young girl, are bitten but miraculously evade death, emerging as the incident's only survivors. Embracing their newfound freedom, Van and Yuna strive for a tranquil life amidst the rural landscape. However, with the resurgence of the deadly fever, their peaceful existence is shattered, thrusting them into the heart of a conflict far surpassing the boundaries of a single empire. In a world fraught with danger, their struggle for survival becomes a testament to the human spirit.
