Independence Day (1996)

This science-fiction blockbuster follows an ensemble cast that includes a hot shot Air Force pilot, his wife, scientists, and the President of the United States. Earth is invaded by hostile aliens who are traveling the planet, destroying Earth's major cities in their massive starships. With their backs against the wall, humanity must band together to find the alien's weakness and drive off their invaders. This results in new scientific discovers, the uncovering of old conspiracies, and old love that is rekindled.
