In a nameless society during an indistinct era, a new law promising peace through strict moral enforcement paradoxically incites citizens to vigilante justice. The nation splits into two camps: those who embrace the growing violence and those clinging to the prophesied emergence of a savior who will shepherd the nation towards harmony.
Caught in the center of this tumultuous world is Eros, a police detective assigned to investigate the gruesome public immolation of five men accused of theft. While his superiors dismiss the case as unsolvable, Eros uncovers an intricate web of deceit that suggests a motive far darker than mere vigilante justice.
Simultaneously, Janus, a journalist grappling with personal demons and the debilitating effects of narcolepsy, stumbles upon a deadly secret. His life unravels as his wife leaves him and his boss terminates his employment, all for the same undisclosed reason. After a botched interview with a victim’s wife, Janus is left with a cryptic message revealing the potential catalyst for the horrific killings. Unaware of its implications, Janus shares the message, only to watch in horror as those he confides in meet untimely and mysterious deaths. As he becomes the target of powerful figures who recognize the secret's value, Janus finds himself entangled in a dangerous game of survival.
As Eros delves deeper into his investigation and Janus struggles with his perilous knowledge, their paths converge into a tangled maze of conspiracy and murder.
