Mike Banning is a Secret Service agent. Once was the chief of the U.S. Presidential detail, Banning was removed from his post when he failed to save the President's wife in a deadly car accident. Banning is at the White House when terrorists capture the building, killing the White House's security force and holding the President hostage. Banning, one of the few surviving Secret Service agents, must race against time in order to save the life of President Asher before the terrorists can gain access to the United States nuclear arsenal.
