Plot

In the heart of a turmoil-ridden city lies the Prosecutor's Office and the National Police Agency, entangled in a fierce ethical dispute. The undercurrents of power and control spark a tug-of-war as the prosecutors, led by the formidable Woo Tae Ha, thirst for discretionary authority over all investigative proceedings. Parallelly, the police force, with the astute Choi Bit at its helm, yearns for an independent authority, free from the prosecutor's oversight. Amidst this high-stakes conflict, we find Hwang Shi Mok, an elite prosecutor, burdened with a unique affliction. A brain surgery in his youth has left him hypersensitive to certain sounds and stripped him of his empathy. Yet, his steely determination transforms his weakness into strength, making him an exemplary figure in a world often shrouded in ambiguity. Shi Mok's path converges with that of police lieutenant Han Yeo Jin as they investigate an unusual murder case. Yeo Jin, with her keen intellect and unwavering commitment to justice, becomes a vital ally to Shi Mok. As they delve deeper into the labyrinth of crime and corruption, they unearth a myriad of secrets woven into a grand scheme involving the government's Public Prosecutor's Office and a private conglomerate. However, their pursuit of truth is fraught with challenges. Enigmatic figures lurk in the shadows, some guiding their quest, others obstructing it. Unfazed, Shi Mok and Yeo Jin independently conduct their probe into a concealed case, their alliance a beacon of hope in a world torn apart by conflict and deceit. As the narrative unfolds, the duo's relentless pursuit of justice promises a riveting journey through the complex realms of power, corruption, and intrigue that define the riveting world of "Stranger".
