The story of Mildred Ratched is finally told in this prequel series to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. It's 1947, and Mildred Ratched has just been hired as a nurse for one of North California's most prestigious mental hospitals. Her meticulous attitude and killer sense of style help Mildred stand apart from the rest of the pack, but there's a monster hiding beneath that perfectly manicured exterior. Ratched may be a consummate schemer, but she'll find a formidable opponent in the form of the labyrinthine and bureaucratic California mental health care system.
