Criminal Minds (2005)

Among the criminals that the FBI actively pursues, serial killers are considered a unique threat. The Behavior Analysis Unit is assigned to violent and serial cases where the suspect isn't known and the threat of recurring crimes is tangible. Jason Gideon's unconventional approach to profiling makes him especially adept at identifying killers before they can strike again, but there's little doubt that he benefits from having a right hand man with a more conventional approach to investigation. Together with their team of specialists, the BAU takes on the cases that the rest of the FBI aren't equipped to deal with.
