Life in the maximum security prison known as Oz is never easy for everyone, but it's different depending upon your station. New arrivals like Beecher need to navigate the complex geography of the prison as well as the countless rival gangs that each own their own turf, and most of them will need to hook up with a new gang for protection. For Beecher, this is the white supremacists. But there are more emotions than hate in Oz, and everyone here is trying to carve out a life for themselves in some way. For some, it's more violent than for others.
