Alias Grace (2017)

Grace Marks is just a lowly indentured servant who's been accused of killing both her master and another of his servants, and she's spent the past 15 years imprisoned for her alleged involvement in the crime. Dr. Simon Jordan thinks there may be more to the story, so he sets out trying to determine whether or not Grace can be held accountable for what she did. With the legitimacy of psychiatry still in its early days, the doctor will have a tall hill to climb if he hopes to earn Grace clemency on account of her being mentally ill.
