Gibiate (2020)

In the year 2030, Japan finds itself ensnared in an unrecognizable world, a mutation of its former self. A virulent pandemic, named 'Gibia', has swept across the globe, turning humans into grotesque creatures in a cruel homage to their age, gender, and race. Amidst the wreckage of civilization, a duo of warriors emerges, seemingly out of time, hailing from the historic era of Edo. A samurai and a ninja, they band together, their swords and shurikens pitted against an unyielding tide of monstrous Gibia-infected beings. Beside them in this treacherous odyssey stands a dedicated doctor, feverishly striving to unearth a cure for the merciless Gibia virus. Their path, however, is fraught with more than just these distorted creatures. Outlaws and scavengers, desperate and ruthless, prey on the vulnerable, adding another layer of danger to their already perilous journey. Set in this dystopian near future, 'Gibiate' weaves a tale of survival and courage, where the past and the future clash, and humanity's very existence balances on the edge of a sword. As our unlikely heroes navigate through the blighted landscapes of a once-thriving nation, they are forced to confront not only the monstrous manifestations of the virus but the darkest corners of human nature as well. Will they find the saving grace to turn the tide against this worldwide catastrophe, or will they too succumb to the monstrous transformation of Gibia?
