Plot
Ryota is unemployed, in his early twenties and down on his luck. The only thing he succeeds at is a video game, Btooom!, where he has a blossoming marriage and one of the top ranks in the entire world. One day, he wakes up on an unfamiliar island, where he's quickly attacked by other people and forced to run away. He soon realizes that he's somehow been transported into the videogame and must live long enough to return to his regular life, but as he explores the island further, he starts to question which life he actually wants to live.
