In the vibrant heart of New York on October 24, 1955, Mitch Wayne, a diligent geologist for Hadley Oil Company, crosses paths with Lucy Moore, an executive secretary, in her boss's office. An invitation to a conference from Mitch serves as the gateway to a complicated love triangle. Behind this professional invitation lies the whimsical desire of Mitch's childhood friend and the unruly son of an oil tycoon, Kyle Hadley, to savor a sandwich from Club 21. Mitch and Kyle find themselves ensnared in the web of love for the enchanting Lucy.
