Plot

In the sleepy heartland of a small Indiana town, Charles and his enigmatic mother, Mary, take up residence, carrying with them a dark secret from their past in Bodega Bay, California. They are Sleepwalkers, shape-shifting creatures who feed off the lifeforce of young women, manipulating their appearances to blend into the human world. Their sights now set on the innocent Tanya, a young girl Charles encounters at the local high school. Charles, played by Brian Krause, is the alluring new boy in school, embodying both the charm of a golden boy and the lurking terror of a savage beast. Oblivious to his true nature, the sexually curious Tanya, portrayed by Mädchen Amick, finds herself drawn to his allure, unknowingly walking into the dangerous web spun by the Sleepwalkers. On their first date, a seemingly innocent picnic in a nearby cemetery, Charles unveils his monstrous intent, attempting to drain the life out of Tanya to satiate both him and his seductive mother, Mary, portrayed by Alice Krige. As the tension escalates in this chilling horror tale of modern-day vampires, the body count in the town begins to rise ominously. The town's cat population, considered arch-nemeses by the Sleepwalkers, starts to congregate, foreshadowing a climactic showdown. The town's tranquility is disrupted as the monsters in their midst are revealed, leading to a chilling confrontation that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats.
