Plot

In the rhythmically pulsating world of jazz, Marty "Alfred Molina" ekes out a living on the fringes of a dilapidated town steeped in Irish heritage. As a musician, his life teeters between precariousness and unfulfillment, his only solace being the camaraderie he shares at The Rose of Sharon, a local bar. Here, he strikes an unlikely friendship with Sheila "Maggie O'Neill", the bar's vivacious barmaid. An unexpected twist of fate ensues when Sheila acquaints Marty with the spectral occupants of a seemingly ordinary rocking chair. As they embark on a whirlwind of adventures with these ghostly companions, a sense of contentment begins to seep into their lives. However, the bar's proprietor, once the murderer of one of the now ghostly companions "Marianne Faithfull", finds himself entangled in an unfolding drama, lending a tinge of suspense to their otherwise placid existence. "When Pigs Fly" is a tale of the extraordinary nestled within the ordinary, a story of satisfaction sought and found in the most unexpected corners of life, all told through the enchanting cadence of jazz.
