In the heart of the 19th century, Ada, a voiceless woman, finds her world uprooted. Leaving the familiar landscapes of Scotland, she embarks on a journey to the untamed forests of New Zealand's North Island, carrying with her the two things closest to her heart: her young daughter, Flora, and her cherished piano.
