Shark Tale (2004)

Oscar lives in Southside Reef and dreams of living a better life. He works at the Whale Wash with a boss named Sykes. At work one day, Sykes demands money Oscar owes him within 24 hours. Angie, Oscar's longtime friend, offers him a pearl to pawn in order to pay off said debt. Instead of paying Sykes at the race track, Oscar bets the money on one seahorse. He's heard the race is rigged to let the horse win, but the opposite is true. Oscar loses all of his money and ends up in the ocean by himself. A series of strange events leads him to being a hero of the town but not without consequences.
