This festive season sees the return of Cedar Falls' native son, Kevin Matthews, to his hometown after six long years. Recently decommissioned from the Air Force, Kevin, much like Kate, is a fiercely independent spirit. His father's silent expectations for him to inherit the family hardware store don't align with Kevin's vision of his future. Unsettled in civilian life, he yearns to carve his own path, the direction of which remains an enigma.
Fate throws Kate and Kevin together in an unexpected encounter, their independent natures igniting sparks of antagonism.
