In the quaint and quiet confines of a small town, unassuming store clerk Johnny Goodlittle finds himself entranced by the radiant Betty Watson, his employer's captivating daughter. Earning his stripes with a diploma, badge, and firearm, he quickly finds himself entangled in the enigmatic disappearance of a local townsperson. This mysterious happenstance traces its roots to an ominously dilapidated house, once a bustling mental sanitarium, now seemingly forsaken by the living. As fate would have it, the charming Betty and suave Amos Rugg — Johnny's colleague and rival in love — find themselves ensnared within the eerie asylum's walls. Unbeknownst to them, the asylum is far from abandoned, instead housing the peculiar Dr. Ziska and his unusual entourage. Courageously, Johnny steps into the labyrinth of madness, armed with his newfound investigative prowess, ready to unravel the secrets held captive in the asylum's darkened halls. His love for Betty and rivalry with Amos fuel his determination, pushing him to put his detective skills to the ultimate test.
