Plot
In lieu of dialogue, this vision of 1930s urban living is almost entirely backed by sound effects. The unnamed narrator works at an assembly line in a factory, desperately scrambling to keep up with the pace of automated machinery that is ceaseless and unending. His travails leave him battered by a machine and eventually thrown in prison after being mistaken as a left wing protester. He ends up eluding a jail break, being let free by the system, and eventually embarking on a variety of adventures that highlight and parody the rapid changes taking place under the city's rapid industrialization.
