The Artist (2011)

Hollywood is experiencing a huge shift. It's the 1920s and silent films are starting to be on the way out. That spells doom for George Valentin, a movie star whose entire career is built around silent films. Studio producer Al Zimmer has been after him to accept the changing times and make a "talkie," or talking movie. Meanwhile, Peppy Miller is an up-and-comer who's making it big in talking films. George ends up falling in love with her.
