As the 20th century nears its end on Christmas Eve, 1999, the bustling city of New York bears witness to a discovery beyond human comprehension. An unsuspecting subway construction crew unearths a Celtic skeleton that has laid dormant for eight centuries, clutching a mysterious key in its skeletal grasp. Esteemed archeologist Karen Goodleaf is summoned to decipher the enigma of this ancient relic. News of this bewildering find echoes into the cloistered halls of a remote Middle Eastern monastery, home to the Knights Templar. This ancient sect, sworn to protect holy relics, perceives the dark implications of the discovery. They entrust the task of combating the impending doom to their finest pupil, the stalwart warrior, Lukas. Meanwhile, a malevolent Minion clings to Karen like a parasite to its host, threatening to unleash chaos. Lukas, racing against time, arrives in New York to rescue Karen and confront the demonic entity. However, the Minion proves to be an immortal adversary, latching onto new hosts when defeated, and leaving a wake of death and destruction in its path. As the Minion's relentless rampage decimates New York, Karen and Lukas realize that the creature cannot be killed, only delayed.
