LAPD partners Riggs and Murtaugh are chasing a red BMW when it suddenly crashes. Piles of South African currency spill out of the car, leading the two detectives down a rabbithole of international drug smuggling. Unfortunately for Riggs and Murtaugh, almost everyone they investigate is protected by diplomatic immunity. Will this fast-thinking cops be able to outsmart the South African embassy or will their key witness disappear?
