Bullitt (1968)

This is a crime thriller about a hard-nosed San Francisco police detective and the mafia. The detective was assigned as protection for 40 hours of a criminal who was going to be a witness for the prosecution. While in custody, two mob hitmen killed the witness and wound a police officer. The police detective’s reputation is sullied, and he asks for permission to solve the murder. This leads him into the underworld of crime, and his colleagues start to notice his strange behavior. Will he be able to unravel the complications and double-crosses to finally catch the bigwig mafioso who ordered the killing?
